Balinese Community of Queensland Inc. (BCQLD) is a non-profit multicultural organisation with the objectives of enhancing and developing stronger interest in Balinese and Indonesian arts and culture throughout South East Queensland and maintaining a vibrant community group, especially through the practice and performance of traditional and contemporary music and dance from Indonesia.

BCQLD also includes the only Balinese gamelan gong kebyar ensemble in Brisbane, Gamelan Puspa Wresti.  The gamelan group has participated in the Roma St Multicultural Festival, Woodford Folk Festival, and Chinese New Year celebrations in Fortitude Valley. In fact the gamelan orchestra has become the central medium for bonding, motivating, and inspiring the Balinese Community and others to continue developing and maintaining Indonesian traditional music and dance in Brisbane.

One of the aims of the BCQLD organisation is to encourage Australians to think beyond their own borders – in particular to consider Bali and Indonesia as close neighbours, and thus encourage the establishment of stronger links between the two nations from the perspective of culture and arts.
