Membership and Rehearsals

We currently have about 20 members and are always looking for new members to play in the gamelan and join us for social events. No previous musical experience necessary. Anyone with an interest in Balinese culture is welcome to join our social events and our gamelan group.
 
As the group is a not for profit organisation no payment is made to members except for reimbursement of expenses. All money received from performances, membership fees etc. goes towards our groups’ expenses which include insurance, hall hire etc.

Membership fees are $5 - $15 per year and we also ask for a gold coin donation at each rehearsal which contributes towards the cost of hall hire.

Rehearsals are usually 4-6pm, three Saturdays per month at Clearview Hall, corner of Clearview Terrace and Kensington Avenue, Seven Hills, Brisbane.
